It comes at a time when Bravo is thriving on the success of the original show called 'The real housewives of Orange County'. This time, they go into the heart of the Big Apple.
The show gives you a slice of the lives of five upper class ladies from the New York social circuit. It's all about how they manage their careers, their home lives, their year round busy calendars which are packed with everything from social gatherings to fund raising events for charity and yet find time to go for an occasional botox treatment.
These are ambitious women who want to rise above the marquee. This is life as it is in the upper echelons of the American society.

LuAnn de Lesseps: Now, she is a real life countess as her husband Alexandre Count de Lesseps is a French aristocrat. It's her family that presented the Statue of Liberty to New York city. How's that for pride? She is a busy mom of two.
Jill Zarin: This is a name that socialites on the Manhattan social circuit will be more familiar with. She and her husband bobby run Zarin Fabrics and home furnishings.
Bethenny Frankel: Now here's a single woman in her 30's who has three children and a wall street boyfriend. Bethenny is a celebrity chef and has her own company.
Alex McCord: She has been in the news for all the wrong reasons off late. But Alex has a thriving social calendar, a husband and two children. She is a former actress and model.
