NBC supervisor Robert Greenblatt said the show will proceed as long as Hargitay needs to do it, and Hargitay revealed to us she takes it step by step—season 21 would make it the longest running scripted primetime dramatization—however that hasn't prevented her from considering a key minute for her and the character: the end.
"I have," Hargitay told E! News when inquired as to whether she considered a perfect closure for Benson. Will she uncover it? Obviously not, but rather another person knows how she needs to state farewell to Benson: Dick Wolf.
